ANDROID 4.4 KITKAT ROADMAP: WHICH PHONES MAY GET THE UPGRADE


Which phones are in favour for KitKat 4.4 update?Some of the Samsung handsets are ending their lifespan with Jelly Bean 4.2.2. Two of which are the Samsung Galaxy Note and the Samsung Galaxy S22. Google have now launched KitKat 4.4 and this will make its way out in October. When it arrives it will have the Linux kernel that has been updated and this will support handsets that have low memory. So will your handset get KitKat?
SamMobile posted a list in March of devices that were said to be getting an update to Jelly Bean 4.2.2 and those that were going to get Android 5. One insider from Samsung said that the Samsung Galaxy S2 and Note 1 would be getting updated to Jelly Bean 4.2.2 and this would then be the last update.
Both of the devices are getting updated to Jelly Bean 4.1.2, the device originally had Android 2.3 on it along with ICS. Samsung is going to update five handsets to Key lime Pie it was said.
However Google launched KitKat 4.4 intread and it was said that it was an internal reference to KitKat. AndroidCentral heard about the Linux kernel being worked on and it is said to offer amazing things. It will have support for the NVIDIA Tegra along with Samsung Exynos DRM drivers, flash friendly file system support and lower memory footprint. This is needed if it is able to support more devices.
The list of devices that will get an update to Android KitKat 4.4 include:

6. Galaxy S Advance

11. Galaxy Fame
12. Galaxy X Cover 2
13. Selected Galaxy Tabs
Some Galaxy devices are meant to get Android 4.4 KitKat straight away:
1. Galaxy Note III
2. Galaxy S IV and other variants
3. Galaxy Note 8.0 and other variants
4. Upcoming Galaxy Note 10.1 and 12.2
5. Galaxy S IV mini
